What it takes to become the 'Top Real Estate Broker' in Dubai

DUBAI, February 7, 2023

Dubai is a lucrative market to grow your real estate game. It’s a land that crowns true potential. However, not before testing you in a variety of ways. Its ever-fluctuating market never fails to challenge the best real estate agents. But this was only one of the challenges Anthony Joseph Abou Jaoude had to overcome to become Dubai’s top real estate broker. He shares three ways in which Dubai chiselled and structured his once-misshapen passion.

Anthony came to Dubai from Lebanon. He came as a man with a dream without any means to achieve it. This is when real estate found him. It wasn’t something he imagined himself doing, but never the one to turn his back on a challenge, Anthony decided to take a plunge. It didn’t take him much to realise that he was a mere salmon in a world of real estate sharks. He had no recourse, and the journey ahead seemed impossible. But he soon realised that he could only go up if he admitted he was at the bottom.

This proved to be a good move. He was slow and steady. He started to learn from his mistakes and dared to make new ones. He stuck by his principles, choosing authenticity over farcicality. His clients started to trust his decisions, and his base grew. That’s when he entered the radar of his competitors.

He says: “I was gaining ground while the big sharks had their back towards me. They didn’t see my struggle. They simply saw my rise. And they didn’t like it. They started with discouragement and progressed toward jealousy and hatred. It was the toughest thing to overcome.”

Anthony, however, stuck to his strategy. In his case, those are principles. As he treated his clients as he would “my parents” and didn’t suggest to them anything “I wouldn’t buy myself,” he became synonymous with authenticity.

Anthony Joseph made struggle synonymous with authenticity. And this attitude has stood the star agent of Dubai real estate in good stead.
