Saudi Arabia's facility management sector, one of the vital industries for the kingdom, was valued at around SAR180 billion ($47.97 billion) in 2024, with annual growth expected to exceed 7% through 2030, Minister of Municipalities and Housing Majed Al-Hogail has said.
Inaugurating the International Facility Management Conference and Exhibition 2025, which opened in Riyadh under the theme 'Facility Intelligence' on Sunday, he said that this growth is driven by Saudi Vision 2030 and the expansion of mega projects, creating major investment opportunities for local and international companies, particularly in digital transformation, energy efficiency, and environmental sustainability, said a Saudi Prerss Agency report.
More than 100 government, private, and international entities are taking part in the International Facility Management Conference and Exhibition 2025. Over 50 local and global speakers, and a distinguished group of experts, practitioners, and decision-makers from inside and outside the kingdom are also joining the event, which will run till August 26 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center. The event is organised by the Saudi Facility Management Association (SFMA).
Minister Al-Hogail said the Kingdom is leading the march toward the future with steady steps and an ambitious vision.
He stated that this gathering marks a new milestone and provides a platform to present the best international practices and discuss innovative solutions for the development of a sector that constitutes a fundamental pillar of mega projects.
He noted that the ministry has adopted a strategic approach focused on improving the efficiency of municipal facilities and strengthening their operational readiness by establishing mechanisms and standards to assess their performance, developing related regulations and guidelines to ensure sustainability, and enhancing the quality of services provided to beneficiaries.
