More than 200 international and local entities representing over 20 countries will take part in the second edition of the Saudi International Rail.

 

The event will be held on October 19 and 20 at ROSHN Front in Riyadh under the patronage of Minister of Transport and Logistic Services and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Railways Company (SAR) Eng Saleh Al-Jasser, a Saudi Press Agency report said.

 

It will also be attended by senior executives of global companies, experts, and decision-makers in the railway industry and services sector. The event is regarded as one of the most prominent platforms specializing in railways in the Middle East and North Africa region.

 

This year’s edition also features 200 local and international speakers in a comprehensive programme of dialogue sessions and workshops addressing key future trends in the railway industry.

 

The second edition builds on the success of the inaugural event, held in Riyadh in November last year, which attracted more than 16,000 visitors and the participation of more than 200 entities, reinforcing the Kingdom’s position as a global logistics hub.

 

Al-Jasser said hosting this conference reflects the significant progress being made in the Kingdom’s transport and logistics sector and the promising investment opportunities it offers. He stressed that this success comes with the ambitious vision and the unlimited support of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

 

 He added that railways represent a fundamental pillar of comprehensive development and economic growth, facilitating trade and mining activities and expanding sustainable transport options. This enhances the logistics sector, supports the movement of individuals and goods, and contributes to the goals of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy and Saudi Vision 2030, strengthening the Kingdom’s position as a global logistics hub and an international platform for supply chains.
