Bahrain's aluminium leadership highlighted at China expo

Bahrain’s leadership in aluminum innovation and Taha International for Industrial Services' solutions were highlighted at an international event in China.

Ammar Awachi, Chief Executive Officer of Taha International for Industrial Services, headquartered in Bahrain, participated in the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), where he represented Bahrain’s industrial sector as a member of the national delegation taking part in the “Tax Administration and Digitalization for the Belt and Road (BRI)” Initiative.

The event witnessed the presence of more than 60 senior representatives from leading Chinese companies, alongside a wide group of international officials, experts, and entrepreneurs.

In his address at the forum, Awachi expressed his pride in representing Bahrain’s industrial sector at such a significant international platform, underscoring the depth of the long-standing economic relations between Bahrain and China, and Bahrain’s pivotal role as a trusted partner in the Belt and Road Initiative, as well as its position as a promising hub for Chinese investments in infrastructure and industrial ventures.

“This participation reflects Bahrain’s national direction towards openness to global expertise, highlights the Kingdom’s leadership across diverse fields, and affirms the significance of drawing on international experiences to boost the efficiency and competitiveness of economic sectors,” Awachi stated. “CIFTIS represents a vital bridge for advancing economic integration and service innovation, and it provides a strategic platform that creates extensive opportunities for knowledge exchange among nations, institutions, and corporations, particularly in light of the accelerating transformations in the global economy and the complex challenges that call for stronger collaboration and effective partnerships.”

During the event, the CEO of Taha International showcased the company’s success story since its establishment in Bahrain in 2005, highlighting its globally patented technology for processing aluminum dross, and noted that this innovation, which reduces carbon emissions to near-zero in full compliance with international standards, has gained worldwide recognition and is increasingly adopted by leading aluminum smelters.

Awachi further added: "The success of Taha International reflects Bahrain’s attractive investment climate and the supportive government policies tailored to advance industries and value-added services. Our company has also achieved regional leadership in environmental responsibility, through adopting innovative solutions to address climate change, including the use of clean energy, environmental protection and waste management measures, and responsible supply practices. These efforts are fully aligned with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and the national objective of achieving carbon neutrality by 2060." -TradeArabia News Service
