BTECH, WorkSmart join hands for key Bahrain tech events

The Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH) has signed a MoU with WorkSmart Events Management to co-organize the thirteenth edition of the MEET ICT Conference and the Bahrain International Technology Exhibition (Bitex).

The event is scheduled to be held from November 25 to 27 at the Gulf Hotel, in the presence of Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications.

This year’s conference and exhibition will be held under the theme “Innovation, Transform, Elevate: AI For the New Economy”, highlighting the pivotal role of artificial intelligence in redefining industries, accelerating digital transformation, and supporting economic diversification across Bahrain and the wider region.

BTECH and WorkSmart have called upon all stakeholders across the ICT ecosystem to take part in the upcoming event.

The event will see leading startups, established technology enterprises, government entities, non-governmental organizations, and academic and educational institutions showcasing their cutting-edge innovations at the event, said BTECH in a statement.

This prestigious platform will also offer the participants to exchange insights with industry leaders, and forge strategic partnerships that drive sustainable growth, technological advancement, and regional collaboration within the sector.

This strategic partnership aims to foster collaboration between local and international companies and participants, thereby creating development opportunities within the technology sector, it stated.

It will also mobilise active participation from both the public and private sectors in the Bitex Exhibition to promote networking, exchange of expertise, and knowledge sharing, it added.

As part of the MEET ICT Conference, BTECH said it will recognise and celebrate distinguished achievements in innovation and excellence across the technology sector.

The society will also enhance its engagement with embassies in the Kingdom of Bahrain, as well as key stakeholders from the ICT ecosystem throughout the GCC and Mena regions, by extending invitations for their active participation in BITEX, thereby broadening the event’s regional and international reach.

Rashid Al Snan, the Board Member of BTECH, said: "We are proud of this milestone, which represents a significant advancement in our efforts to reinforce Bahrain’s position as a regional leader in ICT sector."

"Through our collaboration with WorkSmart, we aim to deliver an exceptional edition of the MEET ICT Conference and Bitex Exhibition that reflects the Kingdom’s stature and contributes to our shared objectives, the aspirations of all stakeholders, and the goals outlined in Bahrain’s Vision 2030," he added.

Ahmed Al-Hujairi, the CEO of WorkSmart, said: "We are pleased to formalise this partnership with BTECH, which brings together our extensive experience in managing this prestigious technology event with the Society's prominent role in uniting technology companies and institutions in Bahrain."

"We are confident that this collaboration will significantly contribute to the success of the event and further solidify its role as a regional platform for sharing insights and advancing expertise in artificial intelligence and business development within Bahrain and beyond," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
