MANAMA, October 23, 2021

Diyar Al Muharraq, one of the largest real estate development companies in Bahrain, recently participated in the National Genome Project at its Manama headquarters, wherein Diyar’s employees participated as volunteers in the national campaign.

This comes in line with company’s ethos to offer its ongoing support to contributing to the development of key industry sectors, particularly the medical and healthcare industries.

At the 2019 Government Forum, HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, had announced the launch of the National Genome Centre, which would provide a DNA database for citizens.

Interpreting and analysing the data will significantly contribute to improving the diagnosis, early detection, in addition to the extent of individual’s susceptibility to infection.

Speaking on the occasion, CEO Engineer Ahmed Ali Alammadi said: “We would like to express our pride and appreciation of HRH Prince Salman’s directives in improving the health of citizens. We would also like to laud the helath ministry’s efforts in launching the National Genome Centre, which further cements its position as a leading centre across countries in the region by effectively providing an interactive platform for manufacturing samples to be used in exploratory studies and research.”

“Diyar Al Muharraq will continue to maintain its proactive stance in supporting all national initiatives across various sectors and fields, and we actively encouraged all our employees to participate in the National Genome Program given the vital importance of the National Genome Centre," he noted.

"Our support comes in line with our vision behind, which seeks to encourage local community and the residents of Diyar Al Muharraq in particular, to adopt a healthy lifestyle. Diyar’s masterplan has been developed to include parks, green spaces, community centres, health clubs, running and cycling paths, and other key facilities to help achieve this goal,” he added.

Diyar Al Muharraq is one of the largest integrated cities in the Kingdom, offering a variety of housing solutions for a modern lifestyle, while persevering the core family values in Bahraini society.

The masterplan offers a unique, balanced mix of residential, commercial, tourism, and healthcare facilities, emerging as a fully integrated and futuristic model city.-TradeArabia News Service
