The Line work progressing rapidly, shows new video
NEOM, Saudi Arabia, February 27, 2024
Neom, the transformational new city under development in Saudi Arabia, has released a new video on the significant progress being made on the revolutionary The Line project.
The world's biggest earthworks are continuing round the clock at the site with millions of cubic metres of earth and water moved per week, said a senior official in the video.
"We have done a lot of foundation work, literally and figuratively," says Denis Hickey, the Chief Development officer of The Line.
"One of the most ambitious projects the world has ever seen is progressing rapidly. The first phase of The Line will be complete by 2030," he says.
"I think the construction of The Line is unique in terms of its industrialisation and its modular approach. This foundation will underpin a city that set new benchmarks for quality of life, a sustainable city with zero emissions that tackles the big urban challenges faced by the world," continues Hickey.
The Line represents a new way of living, learning from cities across the world to deliver an unrivalled quality of life, in balance with nature conservation, sustainability and economic prosperity to create a more positive future, he says.
"We think there's an opportunity to create a better model for a city, to interact with the landscape and nature and the environment. And we think The Line is going to be an example to the rest of the world," he adds in the video. - TradeArabia News Service
