Taiwan launches new health campaign to boost well-being

DUBAI, 16 hours, 53 minutes ago

Taiwan has launched a global campaign — “Go Healthy with Taiwan” — to strengthen its presence in the international health sector and promote meaningful collaboration to enhance global well-being.

Led by the International Trade Administration (TITA) under the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) and executed by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), the campaign is a worldwide call for innovative proposals that integrate Taiwan’s advanced health products and solutions.

The purpose: To position Taiwan as a global hub for health innovation and to spark international partnerships that drive healthier, smarter, and more sustainable communities worldwide. The initiative specifically invites governments, institutions, companies, and organizations — including those across the GCC — to submit proposals that apply Taiwan’s high-quality offerings in real-world settings.

The “Go Healthy with Taiwan” campaign focuses on five priority sectors:
  • Smart healthcare technologies
  • Medical aesthetics and wellness checkups
  • Fitness equipment
  • Sports technologies
  • Bicycles (with Taiwan recognized globally as the “Bicycle Kingdom”)
Building on last year’s “Go Green with Taiwan” success (396 proposals from 45 countries), this year’s campaign aims for 500+ submissions spanning five continents. The top three proposals will win $30,000 each, while all outstanding entries may gain opportunities for collaboration and commercialization with Taiwan’s leading health industry players.

Proposal submissions are open until August 14, 2025.

At the campaign’s official launch, TITA’s Deputy Director General Susan Hu underscored how this initiative supports President Lai Ching-te’s vision of a “Healthy Taiwan” by inviting global innovators to co-create a healthier future. Joe Chou, Executive VP of TAITRA, highlighted Taiwan’s commitment to developing smart, sustainable lifestyles through its cutting-edge technologies.

The campaign’s theme — “Pitching Taiwan’s Best: A Home Run for Proposals!” — was unveiled at a dynamic launch event that transformed the venue into a baseball field. Taiwanese baseball star An-Ko Lin and Fu Bear, mascot of Taiwan Excellence, symbolically hit home runs, reflecting Taiwan’s determination to deliver its top-tier health solutions globally.

The launch was attended by key industry leaders, international media, and diplomatic representatives, reinforcing Taiwan’s proactive approach to global health partnerships. -TradeArabia News Service
