
Manitowoc picks Majan as Grove cranes dealer for Oman

Manitowoc, one of the world's largest providers of lifting equipment for the global construction industry, has announced that it has appointed Majan Equipment and Services, a subsidiary of Muscat Overseas Group, as its authorised dealer for Grove cranes in Oman.
This partnership strengthens Grove’s presence in the market, offering customers world-class lifting solutions backed by local expertise and support, said the company in a statement.
A leading business conglomerate in the sultanate, Muscat Overseas Group boasts more than 50 years of industry experience.
Its subsidiary Majan Equipment and Services supplies equipment from renowned brands to construction, industrial, and marine customers.
The addition of Grove cranes to its portfolio will allow the company to offer trusted and proven lifting solutions, said its top official.
"We are proud to partner with Manitowoc and bring Grove cranes to Oman. The demand for high-quality, dependable lifting equipment is growing, particularly in the oil and gas sector, which accounts for over 70% of the market," remarked Bala T Chatoth, the CEO of Majan Equipment and Services.
"Grove’s reputation for reliability, and performance makes it the perfect fit for our customers," he stated.
According to him, Majan Equipment and Services has already received its first Grove TMC550 truck-mounted crane, from the company’s range of truck cranes for emerging markets, and there are three more of these units set to arrive.
As per the deal, Majan Equipment and Services will deliver comprehensive customer support to local companies, including operator training, spare parts, and after-sales service.
Additionally, Majan’s factory-trained service team will provide periodic maintenance, emergency repairs, and technical assistance to maximize uptime and extend the lifespan of cranes for customers.-TradeArabia News Service
