King Hamad leads Eid prayers in Bahrain

The Kingdom of Bahrain today (April 10) joined its neighbouring GCC countries to celebrate Eid Al Fitr with His Majesty King Hamad leading the prayers at Al Sakhir Palace Mosque.
 
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and senior members of the royal family, the Speaker of the Council of Representatives, a number of ministers, a number of senior officers of the Bahrain Defence Force, the Ministry of Interior and the National Guard joined him in the prayers, reported BNA.
 
Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed bin Fetais Al Hajri, the Chairman of the Sunni Endowments Board, delivered a sermon in which he highlighted the noble values embedded in Eid Al-Fitr. 
 
He also wished Bahrain and its people everlasting security, safety, progress and prosperity, under HM the King’s leadership, praying to Allah the Almighty to accept everyone’s fasting, night prayers and good deeds. 
 
Following the prayers and the sermon, His Majesty the King exchanged greetings and good wishes with worshippers, wishing the kingdom and its people, as well as the Arab and Islamic nations many happy returns and further progress and prosperity. 
 
As part of the Eid festivities, several buildings and landmarks in Bahrain have been decorated with His Majesty King Hamad’s photograph and the logo marking the Silver Jubilee of his reign.
 
Main buildings in the capital city, Manama, were also lit in red and white to celebrate the royal jubilee and Eid Al Fitr.
