
Bahrain declares Saturday first day of Ramadan

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa exchanged cables of congratulations with Gulf, Arab, and Islamic leaders on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan which will be observed tomorrow (March 1).
This comes following the announcement by the Moonsighting Committee of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA) based on the sighting of the crescent in Saudi Arabia.
The panel, which included Shaikh Adnan bin Abdulla Al Qattan; Dr. Farid Yaqoub Al Miftah; Dr. Ibrahim bin Rashid Al Muraikhi; and Shaikh Rashid bin Hassan Al Buainain, met this evening at the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA)’s headquarters. The committee said that no testimonies have been received, reported BNA.
However, based on the moon sighting announcement in Saudi Arabia, the committee has decided that March 1, will be the first day of Ramadhan for 2025, and fasting shall be observed.
On the occasion, the SCIA extended congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, members of the Royal Family, the people of Bahrain as well as the Arab and Islamic nations, wishing them many happy returns.
His Majesty King Hamad exchanged cables of congratulations with Gulf, Arab, and Islamic leaders on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadhan.
His Majesty the King extended his best wishes on the occasion, wishing their countries many happy returns of the holy month.
On their part, Their Majesties, Highnesses, and Excellencies extended their congratulations and best wishes to His Majesty the King and wished the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
