Sheraton opens newly-revamped hotel in Bahrain

Sheraton Bahrain Hotel, a premium property in the kingdom, opened its doors today (December 19) after undergoing extensive renovations and a complete transformation. 
 
It now boasts 210 modern guest rooms and suites, including 141 Signature Rooms, 41 Club Rooms with exclusive access to Sheraton Club Lounge, 25 Suites (Junior and Executive), and three premium Diplomatic and Presidential Suites. 
 
In line with Sheraton’s transformation plans, the hotel features a contemporary design that emphasises a natural, clean aesthetic while incorporating elements of sustainability.
 
Sheraton Bahrain Hotel was inaugurated by Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Deputy Prime Minister, coinciding with Bahrain’s National Day celebrations and the 25th Anniversary of His Majesty the King’s Accession to the Throne, reported BNA.
 
Speaking on the occasion, Shaikh Khalid highlighted the strong performance of Bahrain’s non-oil sectors, which drive economic growth and diversification, reflecting Bahrain’s development under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
 
He also underscored Bahrain’s commitment to enhancing its tourism infrastructure to meet global standards, strengthening the kingdom’s position as a global tourism hub. 
 
This commitment aims to create direct employment opportunities for citizens in the tourism sector, generate indirect jobs in related industries such as transport and trade, and attract more international tourists, further supporting Bahrain’s economic progress, he added.
 
The event was attended by senior officials, including Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities and Agriculture Affairs; Yasser bin Ibrahim Humaidan, Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs; Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism; and Sameer Abdullah Nass, Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
 
On the launch, Minister Al Sairafi noted his continued support for the hospitality and tourism sectors in line with the government’s directives under the directives of the government led by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to develop this vital sector. 
 
She also reiterated the ministry’s commitment to enhancing the hospitality sector and diversifying tourism offerings to meet evolving global demands and cater to visitors from various international markets.
 
The hotel features an impressive 2,002 sqm of meeting space, including the Al Taj Grand Ballroom, one of the largest in the city at 1,067sqm, which can be divided into three sections, said the BNA report. 
 
A mix of indoor and outdoor venues, along with five additional meeting rooms, ranging from 45sqm to 115sqm, provides endless layout options for any occasion.
