Towers Rotana, Dubai, has appointed Imad Akil as its new General Manager. With almost 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry and a proven record of operational excellence, Akil is set to lead the team at this iconic property on Sheikh Zayed Road, further enhancing its reputation for outstanding service and guest experiences.
Akil embarked on his professional journey at IHG Doha, followed by a stint at Hilton Jeddah, and was a key member of the opening team of the esteemed Waldorf Astoria Qasr Al Sharq in Saudi Arabia, starting in the front office department at a very young age.
In 2008, he joined Rotana Hotels as part of the pre-opening team at Amwaj Rotana Jumeirah Beach, Dubai.
Since then, he has played a pivotal role in the successful pre-opening of multiple Rotana properties, demonstrating exceptional leadership and expertise in hotel operations.
Throughout his career, Akil has held various key positions, including Director of Front Office, Director of Rooms, and Executive Assistant Manager, before taking on the role of General Manager at Centro Barsha, Dubai in 2018.
Most recently, since 2020, he served as the General Manager at Centro Mada Amman Rotana, the first Centro property in Amman, where he continued to deliver remarkable results and uphold Rotana’s commitment to excellence.
Beyond his operational achievements, Akil has been instrumental in supporting Rotana’s corporate initiatives, contributing to numerous field visits and strategic projects. His dedication to innovation and team development has positioned him as a valued leader within the organisation.
In his new role at Towers Rotana, Akil will oversee all aspects of the hotel’s operations, driving its strategic objectives and ensuring guests enjoy exceptional experiences.
