Park Rotana Abu Dhabi introduces recycled water initiative

ABU DHABI, 17 hours, 24 minutes ago

Park Rotana Abu Dhabi has announced sustainability initiative with the launch of its in-house water treatment and glass bottling facility.

This eco-friendly initiative marks a significant step towards reducing single-use plastics while ensuring the highest quality drinking water for guests and visitors. It’s estimated that this initiative shall eliminate the use of over 486,000 plastic bottles per year.

As part of its ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility, Park Rotana has installed a state-of-the-art water filtration and purification system within the hotel. This system allows the property to treat and bottle its own water in reusable glass bottles, eliminating the need for plastic water bottles across guest rooms, meeting spaces, and dining outlets.

“Our goal is to continuously innovate and find ways to operate more sustainably,” said Eleni Tsolakou, General Manager of Park Rotana. “By introducing our own recycled water bottling system, we are taking a proactive step towards reducing our environmental footprint while maintaining the exceptional service standards that our guests expect.”

The transition from plastic to glass-bottled water is expected to significantly reduce the hotel’s plastic waste, contributing to a greener future in alignment with Abu Dhabi’s environmental sustainability goals. Additionally, the new water filtration system ensures the highest standards of purity and taste, offering guests a premium and eco-conscious hydration solution.

This initiative is part of a broader sustainability strategy at Park Rotana, which includes energy conservation programs, waste reduction efforts, and responsible sourcing practices across its operations. -TradeArabia News Service
