Connections Luxury, a leading private global community for trusted professionals in high-end travel, is set to host its first Asia Pacific community event in Tokyo this October in partnership with the Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau.
Taking place from October 5–8, 2025, Connections Luxury Asia Pacific will bring together more than 120 senior decision-makers, including luxury travel suppliers from around the world and top travel agencies representing high-net-worth clients across Asia Pacific.
Over three days, delegates will engage in pre-matched one-to-one meetings and curated experiences, all designed to fast-track meaningful business relationships.
Buyer places have now sold out, underlining the growing demand from Asia Pacific’s luxury outbound market and a clear appetite among the region’s top travel agencies to deepen relationships with global high-end travel brands.
With demand for long-haul travel and personalised experiences on the rise, the event reflects the strategic importance of Asia Pacific as a key growth region for luxury tourism.
Networking receptions and shared cultural activities will take place at premium venues including JW Marriott Hotel Tokyo, Fairmont Tokyo and Happo-En.
Buyers will be hosted at The Capitol Hotel Tokyu and Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo, with the welcome reception held at The Capitol Hotel Tokyu.
Confirmed partners include Marriott International, CLIA, XO Private, Preferred Hotels & Resorts and Flywire.
Kazuomi Yamashita, Director of the Tourist Promotion Department at TCVB, said: "We are delighted and honoured that the inaugural Connections Luxury Asia Pacific 2025 will be held in Tokyo. According to a 2023 survey conducted by the Japan National Tourism Organisation, travellers from the main areas of the Asia Pacific region account for around 70% of the total number of travellers in the luxury tourism market to Japan, so we can expect Japan to remain a very important market in the future. In a market with many repeat visitors, it is essential to showcase Tokyo's constantly evolving appeal and new experiences. We believe that holding an event like this in Tokyo is truly invaluable as we work towards this goal.”
Gregory Reeves, Managing Director of Connections Luxury, added: “Asia Pacific has become one of the hottest regions for luxury travel growth worldwide. Bringing our first dedicated event to this community in Tokyo feels like a real turning point for Connections Luxury – we couldn't be more excited about it. As international travel from the region continues to rebound stronger than ever, this presents luxury travel brands with an incredible opportunity to forge lasting relationships with the agencies that influence where affluent travellers decide to go and how they experience their journeys. With the Asia Pacific luxury travel market estimated at US $270 billion in 2023 and projected to grow at an 8.6% CAGR through to 2030, it’s clear this is a momentous opportunity.”
Sam Blunsdon, Connections Luxury Head of Commercial and Tourism Promotion, said: “The sold-out buyer response shows just how strong the Asia Pacific luxury outbound travel market is. APAC travellers want authentic, premium experiences around the world, and this event gives global luxury suppliers the perfect opportunity to connect with the agencies that serve these clients.” -TradeArabia News Service
