Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) has announced that it had recorded a 4.5% annual increase in electrical connection requests for commercial projects last year through its Al Namoos service which rose to 8,241.

 

Al Namoos (race winner in Arabic) provides electricity connections of up to 150 kilowatts within five days to Dewa’s accredited consultants and contractors through a two-step process.

 

The number of its accredited consultants and contractors stood at 2,123 by December 31, 2024, said Dewa in a statement.

 

This increase highlights Dewa's commitment to keep pace with the rising demand for electricity and water services driven by Dubai's urban expansion as its population and economy continue to grow, it stated.
