
GIUF 2025 sets stage for smarter utility systems

Global Industrial Utilities Forum (GIUF) 2025, a Middle East event focused on power and water utilities held in Al Khobar in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province, attracted professionals and decision-makers from over 60 countries.
The forum, titled "Reliable, Resilient & Efficient Utility Solutions", showcased technological advancements and sustainable solutions in these sectors.
Attendees exchanged knowledge, explored innovative solutions, and discussed best practices for enhancing utility efficiency, reliability, and resilience.
The event, which took place in April (28-30), began with opening remarks by Mamdouh Al Aidarous, former Aramco professional and Engineering Consultant at CSD.
Keynote presentations were given by Prof Suresh Sampath, Deputy President at IpowerE UK and Head of Gas Turbine Engineering and Sustainable Propulsion at Cranfield University.
A distinguished panel discussion featured prominent figures from the sector, including Ayedh Al Fardan, Director of Utilities at King Salman Energy Park, Mohammed Al Ta'ani, Secretary General of the Arab Renewable Energy Commission, and Dr Corrado Sommariva. Ahmad AlMuIla delivered the technical presentation.
