Dubai Sports Council, Mai Dubai partner to boost spirit of sports

DUBAI, July 19, 2024

Dubai Sports Council (DSC) has signed a partnership agreement with Mai Dubai, under which the top bottled drinking water company will supply water at all sports events, which are organised and held under the supervision of DSC.

The agreement was signed by Saeed Hareb, the Secretary General of DSC, and Ibrahim Kah, the CEO of Mai Dubai Company.

The agreement has been signed as part of DSC’s efforts to develop the sector of competitive and community sports events, to collaborate with the public and private sectors to nurture a culture of exercise, sport and physical activity in society.

Hareb said Mai Dubai Company is a successful model for national companies that contribute positively to health and domestic economy.

He further said the agreement aims at achieving common goals to improve quality of life and meet all training requirements of athletes for them to deliver their best performance.

He also hailed the sustainability measures adopted by DSC and Mai Dubai.

Kah said: “We endeavour to boost our common values and commitment toward the health and entertainment of all individuals in society.

“This partnership extends beyond providing water, it also includes enhancement of sportsmanship and contributing to creating a happy and active community.

“As we are celebrating the Year of Sustainability, it is notable that Mai Dubai runs its entire work via solar energy confirming our keenness to reduce carbon uses.

“We promise to become the official hydration partner to DSC.

“Though this partnership, we adhere to boost community ties via sport.”

Mai Dubai was the main drinking water partners for some of the biggest sports events that took place in the UAE, such as the Asian Cricket Cup 2022, Indian Premier League 2020, Dubai Fitness Challenge, Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships and Mai Dubai Half Marathon City Race. – TradeArabia News Service
