Al Masaood to showcase innovative EV charging solution at COP28

ABU DHABI, November 23, 2023

Al Masaood, one of Abu Dhabi’s leading business conglomerates,  through its Power Division, will showcase the innovative SHAMS+, the first UAE-designed and manufactured solar power charging station for electric vehicles and hybrid marine vessels at COP28 UAE.
 
As a 100 per cent renewable energy source, SHAMS+ is also re-deployable, carbon-neutral, and requires low maintenance, making it an effective tool to prevent global warming. Technologies like SHAMS+ highlight Al Masaood’s pivotal role in advancing the transition to clean energy – positioning the Group as a local entity actively engaged in furthering the UAE's sustainability agenda and contributing to global climate initiatives.
 
Taking place from November 30 to December 12, at Expo City, Dubai, COP28 will bring together world leaders, policymakers, industry experts, and environmental advocates from around the globe to discuss and develop strategies for combatting climate change.
 
Hani El Tannir, CEO of Al Masaood Group Industrial highlighted the organisation's presence at COP28, underscoring its unwavering commitment to spearheading a sustainable future in the UAE and beyond.
