Sun Siyam unveils major rebranding at Dubai ceremony

Sun Siyam Resorts has launched a major brand transformation to mark its 35th anniversary. The rebrand was unveiled during an exclusive event at Dubai's iconic Aura Sky Pool, signalling a new era for the Maldivian-born hospitality group as it reinforces its identity as 'The Home of the Maldivian Spirit'.
 
This evolution goes far beyond a visual refresh, introducing a new brand architecture designed to help both guests and travel partners navigate the company's portfolio. The group's six resorts are now unified under three distinct collections: the Luxury Collection, led by Sun Siyam Iru Fushi for those seeking premium exclusivity; the Lifestyle Collection, comprising the vibrant Sun Siyam Olhuveli and Siyam World; and the Privé Collection, which includes the intimate, romantic hideaways of Sun Siyam Iru Veli, Sun Siyam Vilu Reef, and Sun Siyam Pasikudah in Sri Lanka.
 
Central to this transformation is a new suite of Signature Experiences, offering travel agents a powerful new set of products to sell. Guests can now immerse themselves in Maldivian Roots, a weekly culinary and cultural journey, or book time in the Maldives' first overwater photo studio, the Insta Villa. For those seeking a vibrant social scene, the new Sun Siyam Beach Club provides a lively hub of music and entertainment. Other experiences include the ceremonial Wow Welcome, Hidden Treasure Chests, and wellness-focused Plant Based Bliss menus.
 
The rebrand also introduces Siyam Rewards, a new digital membership programme designed to build stronger direct relationships with guests. The loyalty program offers members personalized itineraries and room upgrades from their very first booking, with each stay continuing to support marine conservation and community projects through the company’s sustainability platform, Sun Siyam Care.

The execution of this comprehensive rebrand, which included a redesigned website now live at sunsiyam.com, was supported by a team of external experts including lead brand advisors JHAGGER&CO and design studio StudioSixty7. Maldives hospitality pioneer Dominik Ruhl was also instrumental in developing and implementing new operational standards and signature experiences, ensuring the new brand identity is embedded into day-to-day service.
