Pilots from 50 states to take part in Drone Racing World Cup

Top pilots from over 50 countries will compete in the upcoming Drone Racing World Cup 2025, which will be held as part of the Riyadh Season festival in the Saudi capital.
The prestigious event, set to run from January 23 to 25, will unfold in Boulevard City. It is organised by the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming, and Drones in collaboration with the World Air Sports Federation (FAI), announced Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) Turki Alalshikh.
At the exhilarating races, drones are expected to reach speeds of up to 350 km per hour. The prize pool will exceed SAR1 million.
This competition marks the first Drone Racing World Cup held in the Middle East and serves as the inaugural round in a series of events taking place in drone racing powerhouse nations this year. Rounds will be hosted later this year in countries including Korea, Italy, Germany, Spain, and Sweden. The previous edition wrapped up in Korea last October.
Winners earn titles based on their top three results throughout the year.
